Emmerson Mnangagwa wins the presidential elections with the help of his rural strongholds in which he won with margins averaging over 50%. The opposition heavily refutes the outcome, citing rigging and manipulation of the vote by the election governing body ZEC and voter intimidation in the rural areas by the ruling party ZANU-PF.
